Dinner Xara Lodge on the 23rd August 2022

Dear Friends,

 

Please find attached the August wine report.  I hope you enjoy it.

 

I really had no real preference myself between the wines being offered as found that my choice changed back and forth with the different courses and level of inebriation!  However, in the end my votes matched reasonably closely the club average for a change.

 

As for the food, as per my previous e-mail, the pork was the only disappointment although from the voting some diners had a better cut than most and a few got the short end of the stick.  This was an exceptional hiccup from otherwise a more than satisfactory kitchen and we have assurances from the very highest level of Xara group that they will not hiccup again.

 

Finally please be advised that next month we will not be meeting at the Xara lodge as usual but at the Oka's outdoor terrace at The Villa in Balluta Bay.
