Bodegas Care Garnacha Blanca Nativa 2021
This white wine is produced by Bodegas Anadas in the Cariñena appellation in Aragon, Spain. It is owned by Lázaros and Diáz families, who have 150 hectares and a purpose-built winery located between Aguaron and Cariñena, the climate is continental/Mediterranean with low rainfall. Their vineyards are located in 4 different parcels between 500 and 900 metres.
Care is the brainchild of the fourth-generation of owners who declare that they have almost an obsession to create quality modern Spanish wines that are great value for money. Their winemaker Óscar Martínez hails from the Basque country and has worked with Tempranillo on big-name Rioja brands. Now his focus is producing world-class Garnacha and Carignan (known locally as Cariñena).
Personally, I have found this wine to be quite aromatic on the nose with citrus floral and herb notes.
On the palate it is balanced and elegant yet with sufficient with freshness and structure to serve both as a quaffing wine or paired with the less heavy dishes we all go for in summer. Notable flavours are again citrus and also passionfruit
The length is long and satisfying.
I highly recommend this for parties as I think it is extremely good value for money
